( With those that Aqua has bonded to departed, she has a question. She wants to be careful - she needs to be cautious. The last thing that she wants is a chance to go feral again.

So, she'll keep this brief and to the point. )

Good evening,

I was wondering - what are the consequences of going without a bond for too long? Does it vary from monster to monster? And... what about those who have gone feral before, even with a bond?

It is a luxury, to indulge the possibility of that. One we Hunters never are graced with.

If it comes between indulging that part, whether it exists or not, and protecting others, it is not really a choice.

Like I said, "another way" is a luxury. It is ill afforded when the moment eventually comes.

Trust me... [ Those words... the melancholy within them was like a stone. ]

... So far, I've not needed to turn my blade on a friend, if that's what worries you.

But I am still prepared to do so... No friend I have made is the sort of person who could live with blood wrought from madness on their hands.

Then you understand... why it is I do my work.

I take no joy in it. But it is work that needs doing, all the same...
