There's been a word on the streets, of people being assaulted, disappearing attempts of kidnappings— that's not a word anyone who was here a year ago wants to hear again, plenty of us might be already on edge. But whatever is going on this time? Whoever it is? They're not as good as the scum behind what happened a year ago. That means we have a bigger window to act and to protect each other.

My idea is: let's put together a list of Mirrorbounds willing to guard those returning home. Whether it's for those who work far away from the Haven or stay at Coven classes long after its dark or just anyone that would feel safer in the company.

I'll start

I work at Inkchanted, it's located in the docks, near the Slydog tavern. I tend to work afternoons and evenings, so if anyone also finishes their job at docks around that time, I can walk you back to Haven. I could also pick up someone working on the western edges of the shopping district.

I do not have a steady job as yet, but work does oft take me near the harbor. To this end, I would walk with you when our schedules align.

I would also like to hear more of this previous kidnappings you speak of, were you so inclined to converse on the way to the Haven.

Alas, if you'd wish to share a drink or spar, that sounds like a good reason to meet face to face.

You might not need to do any actual defending. From what I've heard, those cowardly rats seem to stay away from groups. So simply making sure people don't go home alone after dark could help already.

I am curious about the watch you've mentioned— I'm not sure if there is enough of us to cover the entire city— [ it be hueg ] —but that's a brilliant way to make the Haven itself safer!

We've got the dock area covered well. Is there any district you have a preference for? Croix has also suggested forming a watch. There's probably not enough of us to cover the entire city, but ensuring Haven's safety is within our reach.

So far no one has claimed Aristocratic District, but I don't forsee a demand for that.

The area between Coven and Haven has no claimants either. The entertainment and Shopping district could definitely use some cover. From my observations, plenty of Mirrorbounds make their coin there.

Unfortunately, I don't have information on which places were hit the hardest. But my guess is that areas that get deserted at night are more dangerous, since the attackers avoid the crowds.

Has anyone yet chosen to begin to monitor the western residential district? If you want poor housing and easy victims, I would say there would be a location more likely than the very public and frequently visited locations on the eastern side of the city.

Oh definitely! And people serving that fish and alcohol usually work till late at night. People say that it's the Entertainment District that is the center of the nightlife, but I'd argue that docks never sleep

Western residential? No, not really. I don't think there's a big Mirrorbound population, maybe that's why.

But you've got several volunteers that are open to help in whatever location they're needed, like: saber, zzap, specs, and redwine.

I've also reason to believe, due to an--ongoing investigation of the kidnappings--that anyone who's with me is less likely to be taken. I'll be contacting the individuals privately, but suggest you all be on your guard.

As I've largely been spending my time studying within the Coven, I can easily be available to assist anyone doing the same when they choose to make their way home, but I'm quite flexible.
