Hello! I don't know too many of you yet, so we can just call me your Resident Gardener A.
I've been waiting impatiently for the weather to get better - I know there are some old orchards here, and so I was curious... Is the fruit in this place similar to what you knew, back where you came from? Anything different? Exciting?
I was thinking of trying a little bit of everything, but if you have a favorite - describe it to me!
Or something that tastes awful - also describe it to me! Tell me about what your tongue likes~

...Needless to say, he can... kind of see through the username. So.]
Sounds like you're up to something other than waiting for spring.

It's dangerous out there. Cywld nests're getting closer and closer to the city. You know that, right?
[If that doesn't tip her off to the responder, nothing will.]

Gardner A, hm. Are you planning on putting fruits in your garden, too, now?
no subject
I like the idea of a sanctuary. A place where people can go to relax and feel good. Fruit is nice for that, don't you think?
no subject
A sanctuary huh. Is that what you thought of your place back home?
[Her garden at home, the church in Sector 5.... those were her sanctuaries, huh. Not that the Turks ever gave her that kind of peace.]

They grow on plants! They look like vines, but they aren't really. A strawberry tree would be cute though, wouldn't it?

but you know, i really like growing my own stuff lately too. i've got a bunch of herbs and lettuce and tomatoes growing inside in pots right now. it's pretty tough learning how to grow all of it.
but i like growing stuff a lot! somehow home grown stuff tastes way better.
no subject
I've mostly grown flowers, but I'd love to learn how to do vegetables...
What's the most challenging thing you've found so far, about growing them? I'd love to learn from your expertise!
no subject
i think the hardest part is just making sure to get the sun and water right. every plant needs something different, you know?
but i'm a puca so it's pretty fun and tasty to grow my own stuff! haha i like eating flowers too, though. what's your favourite flowers to grow??

I've found many things here to be 'flavour adjacent' to what I'm used to.
It makes cooking a challenging experience.
no subject
What's your signature dish? Does it use any of the new things here?
no subject
I do use what I find here, given that I don't have alternatives.
[And the rest, Ignis.]

However, not to leave a question unanswered! Some fruits here are similar to what I know. The apples certainly have more variety than I'm used to. I have yet to find olives anywhere, they're the one thing I miss the most. That, and decent grapes for wine.
no subject
Oh, what sorts of colors of apples are there here? I think I've only managed to see red and green...
Do they make wine out of something else, here, I wonder? Or are the grapes hidden away somewhere? The mystery...

If you find out good info, I'm game for going harvesting. I heard there were some questionable berries or something?
no subject
I'd be happy to share all my information with you! What did you grow? I tend to do a lot of flowers, but I'd like to learn how to do fruit trees and vegetables, too.

That said, there was also a Shade out by the orchards a while ago that was quite clever about luring people to their deaths by pretending to be a crying woman. If you're out that direction, while we did get rid of it, know that's what you're looking forward to.
no subject
It's a shame that the trees out beyond bear fruit that's so toxic... Do you think there's something that could be done about it? I guess it's best to stick to the orchards, for now.

[ Mostly cause his bond brought a spinach owl to the restaurant and treated it like it was the most adorable bird in the room despite him being there. Rude. ]
Thinking about it, I haven't really encountered anything that tastes out of the ordinary. My ordinary, I mean. Don't know what it's like for most.
no subject
I'm happy to hear that some of my favorites are still the same here, too!
But I might need you to...tell me about the ones that look like animals... Fruit animals? You don't eat them, do you?
