Hello! I don't know too many of you yet, so we can just call me your Resident Gardener A.

I've been waiting impatiently for the weather to get better - I know there are some old orchards here, and so I was curious... Is the fruit in this place similar to what you knew, back where you came from? Anything different? Exciting?

I was thinking of trying a little bit of everything, but if you have a favorite - describe it to me!

Or something that tastes awful - also describe it to me! Tell me about what your tongue likes~

Most of it is likely due to the cwyld infection. If we are able to fight that back, and allow nature to take its proper course, we'll likely see a resurgence of all sorts of things.

Ah, I should note: If you do find things in the Wildes and wish to bring them back to transplant them in Aefenglom, I will also warn you... they don't grow very well. Even through faun magics, you'll find them more stunted, more scraggly, and they bear less flowers or fruit. I've taken several varieties of flowers, and the results are the same.

Oh and... it's coming on winter in the Wildes. If you wish to get anything out of the Wildes, you've a very small window to do it. The seasons out there run in opposite of what is in the city. So while we're waiting for the spring resurgence and bloom here, that which is in the Wildes will be shutting down for winter hibernation as autumn settles in.

Thus far no real cure has been found for the Cwyld. It's widespread and deep-rooted out there in the Wildes. I've been out quite frequently with the Wilders and though we've made progress in pushing it back from Aefenglom, and even clearing new areas of it, it's still... so much of this landmass.

But I don't mean to discourage you from taking them. Just don't expect them to be as lush as you find them in the Wildes. There is a bit of novelty to it, though. It does make them easier to contain in the limited space we have, and I've quite the garden here. I can store more varieties in this way, and it may help to revive the species if they are lost to the Cwyld otherwise.

You'll find most things out there that aren't seasonal, in any case - evergreen trees, certain grasses, and bushes. In the deepest winter, you CAN find fruit that does not grow on trees; It comes from the antlers of a type of albino deer. I did not eat any of them, but I did not need to in order to discern its effect: It was an aphrodisiac of a sort.
