[ After confirming that the camera is in fact on, she starts her spiel. ]

After speaking with a lovely young friend of mine, it's come to my attention that he could use a little company to brighten up his days here. He's lamented about how lonely he feels here [ he hasn't ] and I thought I'd take it upon myself to - what's the term again? - wingwoman for him.

[ You don't spend weeks in a melting pot of different cultures and time periods without picking up a few phrases here and there. Even if they still don't make any sense to her, because she certainly doesn't have any wings. ]

He's a youthful nineteen in your mortal years, and an absolute sight on the battlefield—as well as a sight all tied up.

[ She means the 3DMG but hey, might as well fire up the imagination. With a little help -- there's a picture flickering onto the screen now, of a shirtless young man staring into a mirror. ]

He's chivalrous but open-minded, and enjoys his days off with gusto. His words can come out a little rough, but he's quite caring once you get past that prickly exterior. Unless, of course, you like things a little rough.

Three things.

1.) Are there care requirements for scales? I am apparently turning into a naga and frankly, I still don't think this combination of cold-blooded and warm-blooded organism should exist, so I am finding myself having trouble looking out for what my new needs might be.

2.) Has anyone written userscripts for the mirrors before? I am aware they run on magic, but that is no excuse for not updating their performance to professional standards.

3.) In this time of increased festivities, consider shopping at Karen's Patisserie to obtain a cake for your bonding ceremony / wedding / combined wedding-and-bonding ceremony. There is a discount on cakes matching the colorscheme of your dress, if you provide an image to an employee. [ When the video clicks on, the broadcasting watch is clearly resting on a desk of some kind, or at least a flat surface, and a woman with pointed ears settles back to provide a clear view. Long dark hair is braided, with three bright blue feathers behind her left ear, her shirt a far duller blue, and leather bracers are worn at her wrists. Those who've visited recently might recognise the inner workings of the Forge behind her, albeit absent its two smiths and dragons at the moment.

The half-elf smiles, rehearsed, before leaning forward slightly on her desk, mindful of what looks like a stack of papers before her. ]

Well, hello. I'm Vex'ahlia, and I'm here to ask some of questions to my fellow Mirrorbound, both to new arrivals like myself and those who've been here longer.

[dryly] And don't worry, it's not regarding bonds or going home.

For those of you who've been in Aefenglom for some time, I'd like to know what the terrain of Geardagas is like, Cwyld infected or otherwise. What particular wildlife have you found tends to come out to 'play' in the Wilde? Are there certain territories you recommend avoiding, as witches or monsters?

And how is it working with the native Wilders?

As for the rest of us-- [yes, she currently includes herself there] I'm a ranger by trade, and an archer. Longbow by preference. I'm skilled at tracking, hunting, trapping, that sort of thing.

I've been told by reliable sources that these skills are quite useful here, particularly to the Wilders. Are there any others here who share such training? Sharing techniques seems like a practical idea, pool our collective knowledge. For example, do you have recommendations for traps or hunting in cold weather that you learned back home?

And let me know if you are missing any particular equipment that you're used to relying on, but haven't found here yet. [A long finger taps on the papers before her.] I'm rather good at finding deals [understatement] and for particular equipment custom jobs, I'm sure that something could be arranged for you here at the Forge.
