[Kyo is used to transforming. He's the Cat of the zodiac and all, so he has two forms back home. The regular housecat and....well, his True Form. The reason he's both more calm over being called a monster and the reason he bristles at it, given that situation back home and all.

That is not to say that he isn't finding this frustrating all the same. Namely in regards to clothing with this being a more gradual transformation rather than just instant where he suddenly usually no longer fits into whatever he had been wearing with the zodiac curse back home.....]

....Dammit! This damned tail! So what, I'm just expected to rip holes into all my pants now? Not being the only one is debatable in this if that's comforting or more irritating in pissing me off.

[His life. He's finally free of the curse here and he is still. Turning into a cat anyway. Because of course he is. And then he winces, hissing briefly in pain when he nicks his lower lip with his fangs.]

Seriously though, there's probably some kind of tailor or something around, right? For....for people that are changing like this? Ah, right. And uh, introductions, I guess. Or whatever. I'm Kyo. Kyo Sohma.

[For those that he might not yet have run into or talked to. Introductions were only polite and all, so he should probably. Add his name in there somewhere at least, for this first time. Not that Tohru is around to remind him about that sort of thing but. Well, over time, she is rubbing off on him some, at least.]

I don't have magic though, not if I'm....one of the 'Monsters' here? At least, I didn't think so.

[But then, they were all pretty new to this and the situation. So of course they were all still learning about this place and how it all works. So it would be easy for Kyo to have missed or not yet learned some things. A lot of things....]

Hugging witches seems to do a lot for helping with growing pains if you get any of those. Or it might just help with the frustration in general.

[Even if Kyo wasn't averse to physical affection given his dealing with the zodiac curse back home, he still isn't that close to be all that keen on such with many people. Least of all here where most are strangers and some he is still getting to know after being here a mere few weeks now.]

....I'm not much one for hugging.

[Or much if any sort of contact, beyond sparring and training, fighting. Most of the time. Tohru being a rarer exception and a couple of people within the family that he is closer to, like Shishou or Haru.]

[More like a feisty cat that wants to hiss. But a good cat.]

Just saying it's an option. I think it has to do with the way monsters and witches bond.

I'm not.

[Mostly because of the curse and also partly because if it happens too much, he gets overwhelmed and mostly barely tolerates the smothering affections of Kagura for example.]

If there were a way to like....test it out somehow without it being such a big deal, maybe.

I heard there's a way to create a tempoary bond with someone but I haven't tried one of those, myself.

I think there was some potion or something? At least, for temporary ones. Not like it is something I really looked into much.

[Because Kyo is Unsure about the whole thing given how socially awkward he could be. How he was considered the outcast back home and all, it leaves him doubting anyone would want to Bond with him or whatever anyway.]

Well, if things get tough on you at least you know that's an option.

[Zack doesn't find anything that weird about the bonds. It's a strange concept to understand but the idea of being bonded with another person is kind of interesting to him.]

Yeah, I guess. Don't see why it should be necessary, but I'll keep it in mind if it is supposed to help.

[Probably more as a last resort in Kyo's case. But maybe eventually he would see the need and appreciate that support, the help.]

I don't know either but we're kind of stuck here and have to deal with how things work here.

[Let alone his questioning of who would be insane enough to want to bond with him? Which had been his response when Shigure had asked him what he would do if someone wanted to be his friend. If someone wanted to....possibly be more, even.]

It can't be that bad. Don't think of it like you're being forced. If someone wants to bond with you and you want to bond with them it's probably better for both parties anyway.

[Though. It was different here. Nobody here knows about the Curse to know they were supposed to reject him as the outcast. Kyo just can't quite yet seem to get over his issues there himself though.]

I meant it. When I told Shigure if someone liked me, I'd ask if they were crazy. I mean I'm -- I'm not good with being around people.

[He is improving about it. Not letting his temper explode as often, or as violently as he used to. But it is still a work in progress with his social skills.

That and Kyo doesn't see for himself how people tended to flock to him because of his personality, regardless of his awkward social skills.]

[Kyo seems like a good guy. Maybe a little rough around the edges at first glance but it's not anything Zack isn't used to. Here's a guy who used to consider Sephiroth a friend.]

You're in this brand new world with hundreds of new people to meet. I'm sure you'll have a gaggle of people to call friends in no time.

[...Look this isn't so strange. Given how his family, the zodiac, could attract their respective animals to them. Yuki with rats, Kyo with the cats, and Shigure with the dogs and all.]
