I'd celebrate the new year with you all, but it's not the same, is it? Not all of us came though at the same time - some of us might have only spent half a year before this new dawn. Not that I celebrate the time. A year's a year, now isn't it? Just another date.

But you know. Thinking on that - it's weird, isn't it? Nobody new has come though for a while. There were those objects, and even some living things? But nobody else like us. Either something big is coming up, or the magic - or whatever - has gotten all it needs.

Either way is a little fucked up, but in different ways. Any of you got thoughts?

Yeah. I mean, I figured since there wasn't one around here, and people seemed interested when I mentioned I basically lived at one for years back home. So.

New Years is kind of a big deal back home with my family. Banquet and all.

[Kyo only being invited and expected to attend to make the others feel better they weren't the Cat. Basically. He never gets to do the dance, but that's fine with him.]

Be kinda hypocritical if I did mind, since I am one myself. Monsters are fine.

I had a better New Years that one time I didn't go, really. But. I guess. If you're into fancy parties and dinners or whatever.

Back home, you had to stand and be into fancy parties. Those were where you got recognized by authority.

I guess. Text doesn't show you the ears and tail and fangs and all. But I can still work with that. Mostly.

Authority, huh? I guess you could say something like that. We did have a family Head.
