I'd celebrate the new year with you all, but it's not the same, is it? Not all of us came though at the same time - some of us might have only spent half a year before this new dawn. Not that I celebrate the time. A year's a year, now isn't it? Just another date.

But you know. Thinking on that - it's weird, isn't it? Nobody new has come though for a while. There were those objects, and even some living things? But nobody else like us. Either something big is coming up, or the magic - or whatever - has gotten all it needs.

Either way is a little fucked up, but in different ways. Any of you got thoughts?

Yeah, like. Every moon month or two? I've been marking it down - might as well track it, see if it helps us figure out how to get home.

But it's not quite what I'd think was going on. No damned purpose to taking us. Plus, some of us don't wanna go back to where we were?

I hadn't really noticed. I've been busy with the dojo and stuff, with everything else going on but. I guess you're right. More new arrivals would have shown up by now, wouldn't they?

It's just. Not the same, without....certain people back home to celebrate New Years with.

A dojo? I need to pay more attention to things, huh - that sounds useful.

It would be my first without some of my closest friends, either way. Here or back where I was. But I get you, too. Not that I celebrate the new year.

Yeah. I mean, I figured since there wasn't one around here, and people seemed interested when I mentioned I basically lived at one for years back home. So.

New Years is kind of a big deal back home with my family. Banquet and all.

[Kyo only being invited and expected to attend to make the others feel better they weren't the Cat. Basically. He never gets to do the dance, but that's fine with him.]

Messed up, sure. But might be for the best. Don't know about you, but I wasn't exactly thrilled to show up here.

It would be kind of weird to celebrate the new year again, given that everyone in this world celebrates it in autumn. For some reason.

As for Mirrorbound arrivals... do you know if any formal data has been collected about Mirrorbound arrivals? Such as:

- Day & time of arrival
- How many people have come through on each date
- Names (and potential dates?) of Mirrorbound disappearing
- Historical instances of Mirrourbound appearing/disappearing? Does anyone know if this exists?

Without data, it's just speculation. This gap could just be part of a larger pattern we can't see the whole of yet.

While I haven't been keeping track of it fully, there are a few things I've noticed. Namely, that the arrival group that coincided with me was the first - ever. Unless the Coven has a reason to hide such information from us.

I suppose that depends on how much you trust the Coven. I don't particularly trust organizations like that to be entirely truthful, especially in times of crisis. There are plenty of reasons why they wouldn't share that sort of information with us, including simply that those records have been lost, buried, or destroyed.

I find it hard to believe that this is a brand new phenomenon, given the age and various peculiarities of the Looking Glass House. Perhaps your group was the first in modern history, but I find it hard to believe that it never happened before that point.
