Hey.

I don't have anything to advertise or promote right now. [He'll just toss that out there, in case this was the time of the month for that. All he's got are questions.]

I was looking around town. What's with the theaters around here? I heard they got banned? Is that for real? I started acting back home and I'm not abandoning it just because I ended up in a magic world.

How'd they even get banned?

so you feel like you can find a bit of yourself in any role, then?

That's what a good actor should do. I'm still new, so it can take me a long time to find the parts where we overlap.

do you mind if i ask how it works? looking for those parts. is there a method to it?

You can ask, but I've only had one role so far. Lansky was written for me, but I didn't tell our writer I had a little brother.

That part helped anchor me.

[Is this all that acting is? Not all, but the start — finding similarities between yourself and the person whose head you're meant to get inside. With a start, he realize that he actually . . . did that, back ages ago during that guerrilla show, with the Heroine. He didn't even think about it.]

[It's a little unsettling.]

a little brother? [Should . . . he apologize. Little brother is almost definitely not here.] i see. i don't have one. a sibling, i mean. but if that's an important part of who you are as a person, maybe it's something subliminal that the writer felt in some way was important to a character who is written for you.

i don't know if that's a good explanation. to paraphrase, maybe you exude big brotherness.

[Understanding the overlaps is the beginning. Understanding their motivations is step two. From there everything else can follow.]

Most of Autumn Troupe's made up of big brothers. Our writer's one too.

[Now that he thinks about it, there are a lot of big brother types in the company. Though, he's pretty sure Omi wins at being the nurturing big brother type. Not that it's a competition.]

Maybe we recognized each other...

hm. that would make sense to me. i do think like recognizes like, especially when the overlap is something so important.

. . . as a writer, i imagine incorporating something like a sibling relationship into a story would come naturally, too. so that makes sense. [Way to sound like an alien talking about human relationships.]

[With exactly one play he's performed in and one play he's watched, Juza does not know about Tsuzuru's tendency to write what he knows. Which is mostly a lot of dudes pining for each other because of circumstances outside of their control.]

What's that thing people say? "Write what you know" is that it?

[This bizzare way of talking about relationships is not actually enough to make Juza think "I'm talking to an alien." Mostly because he's so unused to talking about this at all.]

None of his little brothers are sickly. I wonder how he got that so easily.

[Truthfully, it's a little surprising that Juza is sharing so much. Giorno wouldn't, and he wouldn't have expected Juza would upon their first meeting. Is this topic some kind of key, then? Everyone has something.]

maybe someone else in his life is? or it's a fear of his. although if he's about our age it would be unusual. most people wouldn't be concerned with that so young.

[Most, not all. Even if not concerned, almost everyone here is — aware.]

[Get Juza talking about the theater and he'll admit a lot more than normal.]

I don't know a lot. He's pretty overworked so we don't get much time to talk, and he's in Spring so he usually hangs out with that group.

spring? oh, spring troupe. you said there were different troupes.

[Is . . . this the part where he's supposed to say "maybe you can ask him when you get back"? He's not gonna do that.]

he might not have said even if you did talk a lot. it's probably easier to talk about that kind of thing with a piece of paper than with other people.

Yes. Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter.

Part of being on the stage is getting comfortable being vulnerable in front of an audience. It's fair if he didn't want to talk about it. Some things are rough.
