I don't have anything to advertise or promote right now. [He'll just toss that out there, in case this was the time of the month for that. All he's got are questions.]

I was looking around town. What's with the theaters around here? I heard they got banned? Is that for real? I started acting back home and I'm not abandoning it just because I ended up in a magic world.

How'd they even get banned?

nuclear war. 200 years ago.

yeah, i'm not sure. plays aren't really a thing where i'm from, so i guess i didn't feel like i was missing out.

we still can. we're just far, far less likely to.

That didn't wipe everything out? I thought nuclear war had a lot of radiation and poisoning associated with it.

Have you had to deal with going feral?

it almost did. humans only survived by going deep underground before the bombs hit everywhere.

or... well, some got hit with a lot of radiation and instead of dying, they changed. turned into what we call ghouls. look like they're rotting, but they're alive. radiation heals them instead of hurts them. lots of them are just like you and me, except for the appearance.

lots of them are feral. whether it's the radiation or trauma, we don't know. but they're mindless. that's probably the closest i've dealt with, before coming here.
