[That's a distinctive nasally tone coming in over the voice channel this fine morning.] Hi. Hey. It's Hiccup. I'm, uh- Hello to the newest arrivals. This is partly to uh- sometimes we don't always, show up with everything we'd like to have, so if you plan to go past the wall and don't have weapons or armor, I run the Forge just outside town with Percy. We're both smiths and we do commission work, so- you know. If you need anything. We also do enchantments! Mostly me.

But-! That's not, really what I'm here for today. [He has more important priorities right now than advertising the Forge.] I thought I'd try asking around, since- Well. I need to find a Bond, or potential Bond, for my friend. Preferably a Monster, but uh, at this point even a Witch would be better than nothing. My friend is- a little irritable sometimes, but he's a really good guy, and he's very talented and smart, and has some pretty neat hobbies. They should be patient and have a sense of humor, and be willing to keep him from working too hard once in a while. To- to be a friend.

So, um. Let me know, and I can set you up to see if things work out! [A pause.] This really is for a friend, by the way, not... not me. [Yeah that's convincing. He manages to tell the truth and still sound like he's being avoidant of the truth somehow.]

Fair enough. I'll admit I don't know the full repercussions of not being bonded, yet, so I'll just have to take your word for it that this is for the best...

[They are still firmly sitting in the "It Can't Be That Bad, Right?" camp.]

Um... Well. I don't know that I'd be a good fit, but... Er. I'm sure there's plenty of monsters here that'd be better!

We've both been here for a while and he's gone far too long without one. [He's not going to spread around the details of how it's affecting said friend, but Hiccup has seen it, hell, has even felt the effects himself, months ago before he managed to Bond his best friend.]

Well if you know anybody, I really did mean that he's a great guy.

I do have a friend who...came in with me. [They're a little hesitant, but if Bonds are that important...]

Her name is Sylvia. She's very...bright? And friendly, but she's a dedicated working and really caring. She might be a good fit?

[And will hopefully not get mad about this...]

Yeah? She sounds- yeah, that might work! Maybe they'd hit it off? It's- if she just got here, I've heard it helps a little with the first full moon, having a Bond. Maybe. I don't know for sure, or even if they'd like each other, but...

Would she, uh, be willing to at least meet my friend? [Or is this another thing like what Hiccup's doing to poor Percy...]
