I have a couple of questions, and I'm hoping some people will take pity on a new person.

[ He ticks up his fingers, question 1. ] What's a man got to do to find bullets around here?

Secondly, how important is this bond thing? Is it actually necessary, or is it another bullshit institution that people think has power because they buy in to it? Like marriage, or honor.

Are the bullets in use with firearms here not suitable? [Please educate him, he doesn't know a flintlock from a modern weapon or anything that detailed.]

As far as the issue of Bonding is concerned, unfortunately there really is no choice in the matter one way or the other. I can hardly speak to the witch side of things, but surely you have no desire to act like some sort of beast?

These things from other worlds like 'cars' and 'guns' are quite curious, and I'm always eager to hear more of otherworldly technologies, even if they do not always work as planned here.

As for bonds, why do you think it puts you under another's control? There is an emotional connection, to be sure. But that is all. [That's actually a very big all but he'll pretend it's not such a big deal.]

It's-- My guns are precision weapons and they need the right kind of bullet to go inside them. It's not impossible to do here, if someone's put time into having the right set up. Or magic. [ Fuck, he's actually suggesting relying on magic. ]

I think there are several craftspersons about who can probably help you with precision work, if that's the case. [he gestures slightly with his right hand... which is a bronze mechanical prosthetic, very neatly designed.] If none of them contact you directly I'm sure I can point you in the right direction.

[That's not entirely wrong, but... he smiles.] I think there's more than one type of connection, don't you? You'll find that there are a few sorts about who are willing to make it a more businesslike proposition, if you're concerned about influence one way or another.

It's unfortunate that you didn't also arrive with ammo. I didn't have a gun with me at the time I was taken, but I wouldn't know the first thing about shooting it anyway so it's probably for the best.

You're still curious about bonds?

I have some ammo, of course. I just tend to use it. Figure it's better to have a plan, before it's gone.

You seen anyone actually go feral from not making one?

Not sure you can get the exact bullets you need for your glocks, but I think a few people started making their own. With the magic I've learned, I've started to really more on that then my own gun. Faster pointing your finger at something, you'know?

Considering I have an ex-wife, it should tell you something that I'll say it's absolutely necessary.

The most compelling reason to look into magic that I've heard. Not that that would do me any good, I'm a monster, according to this place.

I've been pretty good at avoiding making those kinds of commitments up until now.

But I am pretty sure I don't want to become a threat to anyone else.

Some of us can enchant items and you could use those. You know, I've been wondering if you could make guns that shoot laser beams or burst of fire, so thanks for the little bit of inspiration. Anyway...monster's a big word, isn't it? Kinda hate it but that's what they use.

[Hard to argue with a guy that has an ex-wife when it comes to marriage. He'd argue with him it's not needed.]

The good news is a bond doesn't have to do anything with marriage. Hell, you can just bond with someone out of convenience. Only thing I'd warn out for is at least having someone you can trust cause when you do, you end up having cases of memory leak where you can sometimes sense the other's thoughts or feelings.
