hi everyone, my name is sylvia and i'm here with an exciting opportunity!

the purramid cafe is looking for more employees! we've got positions open for baristas, managers, and...wait for it...sphinx handlers!! i mean, look at that kitty and how much it wants to be your friend. and guess what? you can totally befriend it and get paid for it at the same time! doesn't that sound like a dream job? ;D

if you're worried about not having any experience, i became a barista and i knew nothing about how to make drinks. but thanks to getting some top-notch training, i'm now a certified coffee connoisseur!

You've got it. I'll see you tomorrow.

[ Sure enough, the next day, Shiro sends her a text--it's not super early in the morning, since he's got a feeling Sylvia definitely doesn't wake up as early as he does. Around 10, he shows up at the cafe, and when he sees her, he gives a wave. ]

Morning, Miss Hiring Manager.

[ She absolutely does not, but she is certainly there when he arrives. She's dressed in her uniform and in the middle of sweeping the floor when Shiro greets her, and she turns to him with a grin on her face. ]

Hey!

[ She puts the broom and dustpan aside and leans on the counter, towards him. ]

You want something to drink before you say hi to the sphinxes?

[galrarm]

You read my mind. I could go for a coffee.

[ Sphinxes, huh? He's not totally familiar with that particular breed, past their striking appearance, but he can't complain. Cats are cats, and sphinxes are pretty regal... especially these. There's something incredibly special about these ones in particular, so he's pretty excited to meet them in person. ]

Slow day today?

[stardustish]

[ Sphinxes indeed. Sylvia gets right to work on his usual order, busying herself with gathering the appropriate tools and dishes. ]

Kind of, yeah, so the timing works out. Means that I can do a better job at showing you the behind-the-scenes stuff, you know?

[ She hums thoughtfully. ]

I don't know much about the cat handling side of things, but if you had any general questions, I'll do my best to answer!

[galrarm]

[ For a moment, he's struck by how thoughtful Sylvia is. Admittedly, he does have a usual order, and they are friends, but he's always pretty pleased when she knows exactly what he likes. ]

Pretty perfect timing for sure. [ He leans against the counter, and despite how his arms are crossed, his posture's fairly relaxed. ] So, what kind of hours should I expect?

[stardustish]

Depends. Are you looking for full-time or part-time?

[ Because she's pretty sure both are open, anyway. She continues brewing his coffee and puts her hand on her hip as she waits for it to finish pouring. ]

[galrarm]

Let's go with full-time. I'm sure I can make room in my busy schedule.

[ Obviously a joke, and he gives Sylvia one of those teasing grins. ]

Alright, you busy bee, full-time it is!

[ It helps that she already knows Shiro and what kind of person she is, too. She thinks he'll fit in just fine. ]
