un:ma voice
Name: Mikasa Ackerman
Date: Early July, like somewhere between 7th-10th
Format: Voice
[Some people might recognise the voice, some might even remember her making enquires about monsters and recommendations for good books in the library. Or not, it'd been slow progress for the fae. Because she'd found that...books were so, so dry. They made her want to sleep. So she'd been surprised to find a book that she could get through. It's information though-]
Is it true that really powerful vampires have diamond-like skin that reflects sunlight back instead of being burnt by it?

Is it true that really powerful vampires have diamond-like skin that reflects sunlight back instead of being burnt by it?

It's fine. I'd rather show you than have a repeat of it bleeding and Leslie noticing... She's twelve so she couldn't reach to check.
no subject
Hold on, why would it be bleeding? Does it break through the flesh as it grows? [ That doesn't sound like a good time at all. ]
no subject
I pulled a lump of it off.

It was itchy and I didn't know it was attached.

I still have that lump of shell. The witch at the hospital told me it was too valuable for them to take.
no subject
Yeah, keep it away somewhere. Don't want anyone thinking it might be a good idea to go pulling out any other parts of you.
[ He doesn't like the sound of that at all. ] So how do these 'wings' look like now?
no subject
[yes, you are getting the sass. ]
no subject
I'll make my way over.
no subject
... Now?
[She did not think this though when getting dressed this morning. ]
no subject
Is that a problem?
no subject
[The garden needed more work now. The good weather was making so many weeds grow. ]
no subject
Alright. Do you want me to bring you anything to eat?

I took up one of those odd jobs and made a bit of coin. It should be enough for a snack. [ let him do a nice thing wtf ]
no subject
But he's getting a soft chirp. Thinking.] ... What do you want?
no subject
The sweets here are so abundant. I kind of want to try some ...
[ He's feeling like trying some of the cotton candy or chocolate. ]

[With that, Mikasa doesn't send another message. Did she have time to go anything before he'd arrive or should she just stay where she was in the garden? But in the end, she keeps working. He'd mentioned that he'd found somewhere nearby. She probably didn't have time.
Once he got to the garden he'd be able to spot her head, poking up above what appeared to be beanstalks. Don't get to close to them Jean. She was okay to check on them, he was a stranger to them.]
no subject
Finally, he arrives at her home, approaching where he sees the top of her head above the beanstalks. ] Mikasa? I'm here.
[ Unfortunately, he moves a little too close to those beanstalks, because he doesn't know any better. ]

All of a sudden many things happen. The snap peas, well they snap. Short tempted things, a few pea pods split open and just start spitting little peas at him. And then...Then the squeaky yipping starts. It takes a whole minute of yipping before the tiny ball off fluff to come into view. Barking and charging at the intruder. He defend! ...It takes him awhile on his stumpy little legs, but he bounds over to plant his body between the two, barking in a warning.
Very intimidating when he was smaller than Jean's foot. Tater's yips are ignored by the person he was defending though.]
Say hello to the plants. They get angry if you don't.
[Just casually, this is life now.]
no subject
The tiny dog barking up a storm doesn't get anything more than a questioning look, because he's really not all that threatening. Jean takes a step back, still shielding himself from the peas. ] Looks like you've added to the garden ...And your household. [ Some troublesome little plants and animals. ]
... Hi there? [ To the peas. ]
no subject
I started growing these before I knew they'd do that... They're fine as long as you don't surprise them. It's better than the ones that scream randomly. [She hated mandrakes. Why'd they have to cry? Why'd they have to look like babies?
Her eyes glance at the strawberries. Then back to him, you going to just leave them there? They could be washed. Though Tater does stop his barking, and he might have been tilting his head. It was hard to tell where his head ended and the body started. Then he waddles over, sniffing...Nibbling a berry, then...Jean, you are being circled. You have gained the most important man in her life's approval.]
Tendou gave me him... It's better he stayed with me than Tendou.
no subject
[ At least the brunt of it all seems to be over. He keeps his guard up regardless, frowning at the innocent-looking plants. ]
Can't really see that guy taking care of an animal. You probably are the better choice. [ Though he doesn't know him very well yet, Jean has 0 faith in Tendou's ability to be responsible. Squatting down, he picks up the strawberries that had rolled to the ground, placing them back in the case. Being Jean, he doesn't any more for Tater to eat. ]
You're fat enough. Just one for you. [ Bullying. ]
no subject
And so had Tater, who was happily wagging his tail in approval at the gift, gnawing on one. The hands reaching down gets a butt wiggle and yips. Then the hand that's bigger than him is being ran into. Just straight up running at it. Feel his fluff.]
Probably. Though Tendou had him for a few days, and they get along pretty well...Sometimes. I think Tendou got bit playing with him the other day.
[Unsure, no sympathy though. She doubted he'd actually gotten hurt. Jean's comment though, that gets a frown from her. Even if the puppy was unfazed.]
Don't call him fat. [Don't bully her baby.]
