Has anyone noticed if the people who arrived the other week have started going back yet? [Very blunt. So blunt, it almost sounds like she can't wait to be rid of them. But she's just wondering how long she has until Jean just disappears and she's alone again.

What happens when people return? Has it always happened out of sight?

That sounds too simple. [But it would be just her luck. Other than her arrival and a few other times like the strange dream, she'd been avoiding the Looking Glass house and trying to avoid the Coven. Too much nagging. Though that had been before she'd gotten a bond.]

It'd be helpful if we'd worked out how many were here.

[The huff gets cut off.]

It just makes me feel better to know where you are. [ Mostly, that she's safe. She's definitely stronger than he is but he's always worried about her and that's always going to be a constant. ] I saw you before I came here, but there's no guarantee that's going to be the case when I return.

[ There could be only one version of 'Mikasa' after all, and she could be trapped here forever after he goes back. He can't expect timelines to work the way he expects them to. ]

[Why couldn't he have been here when it was an overgrown mess. But instead of responding on the watch, she just stands up, opens her bedroom window and sticks her head out. This cottage is a bungalow. She's pretty much on the same level as him.]

From what they say you won't know where I am. [Reassuring!] It's not as though you can stay here, I'd go back if I could.

I've not heard of any of those new among us who have since vanished, but who knows? There's so many, a few might well have fallen through the cracks already. If so, it's not nearly enough.

Nor have I ever heard of anyone vanishing in plain view of another, but, well... good luck keeping any one so beloved in your sights forever.

[She doesn't have time to text, especially not when there's so much to respond to. Even if she still feels like a dumbass talking to herself in her room.]

I'm sure we missed some. I met a few who didn't want to go to the Coven. They ended up there but- [Clothes shifting as she shrugged.] there might be others who were found by someone else.

Knowing this place. I could blink and they'd be gone.

[It did feel slightly odd to text someone who stuck with voice, so he'll switch to the same as well, though the first thing that's heard is a sigh. As though talking through this device was a dreadful amount of effort, even though it's technically easier than typing....]

So there's no way of knowing, meaning any answer you receive is next to useless. Whether anyone missing is gone or simply mislaid, we'll never know. No doubt many have no one to look for them.

And... yes. [That gets- not quite another sigh, but a small exhalation that's followed by a more neutral tone.] That's the nature of this place. Unreliable. A tease of offerings that it will snatch back the moment you look away from them, the moment one's guard lowers.

I was hoping that someone might have found one and kept track of how long they were here. [But he gets a sigh back. So much sighing.]

It's a pain in the ass. At least I know he won't be here long, it's just not knowing how little time that is... It'd be useful if people didn't forget things. [Though it might be worth trying to make some plans, just in case he did remember. Even if she wasn't Armin, wasn't smart or a leader like them.]

I've never seen it. But most people from my home who arrived with me have gone. I dunno how or exactly when, though. Just noticed they weren't around anymore.

One've them came back this month, but he doesn't remember anything from the first visit he was here.

There are four from my world in total
I couldn't fit everyone into my cottage so only Yuki is actually living with me (*´-｀*)
But not being able to say goodbye to him again would be really rough... ๐·°(৹˃﹏˂৹)°·๐

[It's not like he expected to get pulled from his world to here, so as far as he's concerned this is going to be a second round of being separated from Yuki without a proper farewell.]
